The vital statistics of the Mobile World Congress 2012 are mind-boggling: 4 days, 40k visitors, 1,400 exhibitors. As usual, the mobile giants are geared up to make industry-shaping announcements at MWC. Even though we love to shout about CarbonDiem, it is hard to imagine that a start-up would be able to get its voice heard in media coverage ahead of the event.

So we're humbled to have been featured in blog.gsmarena as one of "the most promising projects coming to MWC from the UK this year", and to have been identified by Life of Android as one of the "best innovations to appear on the Android handsets of tomorrow".

In its search to find the country's top innovators, Smart UK Project has shortlisted CarbonDiem as one of the UK's Most Innovative Mobile Companies. The competition is being judged by mobile and business experts including Jon Bradford of Springboard, former AdMob executive Russell Buckley and Mike Short of Telefonica Europe so we are honoured to have been selected. And we are delighted to be listed alongside exciting companies such as blippar, P2i and QRpedia. The winner gets announced at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 29, 2012.
